The above three photos show the design progression of a pneumatic bottle testing machine.  This was designed as part of my work with the CamelBak R&D team.  The purpose of this machine was to standardize drop testing of water bottle designs.  The machine allows users to consistently drop bottles at specific heights and orientations onto a ASTM standardized laminate concrete floor.

The design progression above shows a bottle fatigue machine.  The purpose of the machine was to fatigue test the plastic and graphics durability of squeeze bottle designs.  The system does this by translating circular motion from a fatigue tester into linear motion.  With this system it is easy to life cycle test new bottle designs.

3D Floor Plan Graphic - This model was created as part of an internship with Haynes Mechanical Systems.  These models were created and then used in an online interface for a building automation system.  This graphic allowed building engineers to more easily interpret and control their HVAC systems.  This style of graphic was created for many floors and several buildings.

Component Design Drill Powered Vehicle - This model was created for a class called Component Design in the CU mechanical engineering curriculum.  This vehicle was later built and carried two team members several times around a quarter mile track.  The only power source for this vehicle was a budget 20 Volt Black and Decker drill.  Daniel's team was the first to complete a successful lap during the semester, and finished second in the overall race.  Daniel created the CAD model and engineering drawings for this design and also managed the team.
